Come join us for our weekly cyclocross ride - we do set up barriers and work on skills for the first half hour or so. Next we do some laps on a short practice "course". You don't need a 'cross bike to join in, a mountain bike works fine.

Attention Bozeman Cross Fanatics,
Cyclocross season is here! The Curry's are all ready tearing it up with the elites in the nation, and doing very well! Many of the rest of us will start racing this weekend with the Montana Cros season openers in Butte. To help each other prepare, we will be holding the second installment of our weekly cyclocross practice sessions on Tuesday evening. Come join us from around 6pm 'til dark at the softball complex to work on skills and do some drills. There will be experienced racers there to help teach technique and point out ways to improve. I'll have a video camera set up, so you can watch yourself go through the barriers and see for yourself what you need to work on to improve. We also hope to set up a short course and do some laps for some race simulation practice. As always, everyone is welcome, and a cyclocross bike is not required to come join in on the fun. Here's a short video of last weekends mens elite Starcrossed race to get you fired up. Watch as Trebon, then three others hit the deck on the wet velodrome surface, then watch for GAS rider John Curry to fly by about mid pack, mixin' it up with the big boys. Hope to see you there. Brad

The GAS team will once again be holding cyclocross practice on Tuesday nights throughout the fall. Come join us as we work on cyclocross skills including dismounts, remounts, barriers, bunny hopping, off camber turns, etc. We meet at around 6 pm at the softball complex in Bozeman. We'll have some barriers set up, work on skills for a while, then we usually set up a short practice course and do some hard laps or mock races. Everyone is welcome, from the beginner to the expert. Come learn from the people who have been doing this a while, or if you 've been doing it a while, come teach others your secrets to success! It's a great time, and a good workout, too. Hope to see you there, and don't forget to bring a friend! Here's a link to a cool video showing why you need some skills, enjoy.
